Homemade Spaghetti Sauce Recipe

Instructions
  1. Gather all ingredients
  2. Wash all produce
  3. Roughly dice zucchini, squash, onion, peppers, and swiss chard and set aside
  4. Slice mushrooms and set aside
  5. mince garlic and set aside
  6. To a large dutch oven, add the ground beef and onions
  7. After a few minutes, once beef is cooked about halfway, add garlic
  8. Season lightly with salt and pepper
  9. Once beef is cooked thoroughly and onions are translucent, add diced produce
  10. Season with salt and pepper
  11. Stir
  12. Saute for about 10 minutes or until veggies are softened
  13. Add tomatoes and stir
  14. Add parmesean rind
  15. Cover and let simmer for 2 hours, stirring occasionally
  16. Add chard, stir and cover
  17. Simmer another 45 min, stirring occasionally
  18. While sauce is simmering, roughly chop fresh herbs and add them to sauce
  19. Simmer 20 more minutes, stirring occasionally
  20. Serve
Recipe Notes

For a gluten free meal, use gluten free pasta to make your lasagna or spaghetti.  The sauce is already gluten free!
