Instructions
Balsamic Fig Jam/Preserves
  1. Wash figs
  2. Add figs, honey, sugar, and balsamic vinegar to stock pot
  3. Cook covered on medium low for about an hour (until all the fruit has broken down)
  4. Stir occasionally
  5. Remove preserves from heat
  6. Add chia seeds
  7. Allow preserves to cool and thicken
  8. Add preserves to jars and refrigerate or freeze
Baked Brie
  1. Preheat your oven to 350 degrees
  2. Place Brie on baking sheet lined with parchment
  3. Allow to come to room temp while oven is preheating
  4. When oven is ready, bake the brie for 8-10 minutes
  5. Check the brie at 8 minutes. If more time is needed add 2 more minutes and check again
  6. Top brie with preserves and serve
  7. I prefer my preserves to be a little warm so I warm them a little in a small stockpot prior to topping the brie
  8. Serve with grapes, gluten free pita chips, or anything else you would like
  9. Preheat oven to 350 degrees
  10. Line a baking dish/sheet with parchment paper
  11. Bake Brie for 8-10 minutes (be sure not to overcook, we want the shape to remain intact)
  12. Meanwhile, warm the preserves
  13. Remove brie from oven and allow to cool for a few minutes
  14. Top with preserves
  15. Serve!
